I am a Scientific Illustrator specializing in Watercolor, Gouache, and Silverpoint. Silverpoint is the art of drawing with a stick of silver onto a prepared surface. It is a Renaissance technique used by most artists of the period for drawings because graphite was not discovered until the mid-fifteenth century. Gouache is a medium preferred by 20th century illustrators because of its ease of reproduction. I love to layer watercolor to get a depth of luminescence unlike any other.
